MASTER PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
July 31, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
The "Final Draft" of the Housing Section was reviewed. R. Johnson stated she felt all the issues were addressed. J. Giotta felt the wording did not grab readers and should tell more of a story to maintain peoples attention, he stated a journalistic approach would be better.
B. Barber suggested preparing an executive summary of approximately 15-20 pages for residents to review, or the element team leaders may want to revise the introductions.
Ultimately, a consensus was reached to have element team leaders submit revised introduction to Bill Giezentanner by August 10th and Bill Giezentanner will have the revisions completed by August 15th for discussion at the August 21, 2007 meeting.
Holden Days, the Committee ordered flashlights and will display various maps and the UMass historical. Also they will prepare a summary of what the Committee has been doing for the last year and a half.
The meeting with the Planning Board and outreach was discussed, during the June meeting, the Committee voted to forward the plan to the Planning Board and have them decide if the plan should be voted on at Town Meeting.
The Committee unanimously voted to approve the minutes with a date and vote change. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
